SETTING:The story takes place outside in a starlit field at night. Stars should be
prominent through most, if not all, of the panels, with various space effects to make each
panel look interesting. The most important feature of the sky should be the LEO
constellation, as it will come into play as a part of this story. It need not appear in all of the
panels, but focus it every so often, perhaps once per page, starting as just the cluster of
stars, and eventually forming as a full­fledged creature in the story.
PANEL 1 ­ SAMANTHA stands amid the waving grass of the field, her jellyfish head
glowing with a light spell, illuminating her and the area around her with a soft pink glow.
She displays a slightly confused look as she looks at a roll of parchment in one hand. In her
other hand, nestled under her arm, almost like a baby, is a tiny MOLION, a creature that
looks like a cartoony mole with a mane around its head and a lion’s tail that dangles from
under her arm.
(1) SAMANTHA ­ OKAY, THIS CAN’T BE RIGHT.
PANEL 2 ­ SAMANTHA holds the parchment by the sleeping MOLION, on it, we can see
that it is a wanted poster. Drawn upon it is a much more detailed looking creature with
more of a lion’s build than a mole’s. It rears back on its hind legs and its forelegs are mole
claws, ready to strike.
(2) SAMANTHA ­ THIS IS THE BEAST THAT’S BEEN TERRORIZING THE
COUNTRYSIDE?
PANEL 3 ­ SAMANTHA looks up to the night sky to see a shooting star blaze by.
(3) SAMANTHA ­ MY ASTRAL DIVINATION SPELL SAID IT’D BE HERE,
ALRIGHT, BUT…
(4) SOUND EFFECT ­ CRUNCH!

PANEL 1 ­ Behind SAMANTHA looms the adult MOLION, a beast that more closely
matches the picture in the wanted poster. SAMANTHA stares straight ahead, her face that
of fear, but in a comedic sense. Apply anime/cartoon style mannerisms, like dots for eyes,
wavy lips, and/or sweatdrops to convey her “oh, poopy” face. We see this scene as if we
stand right in front of her
PANEL 2 ­ We see the action from the side now. SAMANTHA spins around, stuffing the
BOUNTY into her jacket pocket. She holds her hand up and the young MOLION, now
awake, buries itself underneath her jacket as well. Her hand glows with pink energy as an
energy shield appears before her, shaped like a constellation map. The MOLION strikes at
the shield with its claws!
(1) SAMANTHA ­ (Have her speak an incantation here, whether it be esoteric symbols
or some kind of word for her spell. However Heartz wants to do it.)
PANEL 3 ­ Zoom in on SAMANTHA’s feet. She clicks her heels together and a small pink
circle appears underneath her. Meanwhile, sound effects let the reader know the
MOLION is still attacking the barrier.
(2) SAMANTHA ­ I think its time I make my exit!
PANEL 4 ­ Back to a scene from Panel 2. This time, SAMANTHA falls through a black
hole created on the ground by her feet. Above the MOLION is another portal that she falls
through as well. The MOLION looks honestly surprised at her falling into the ground,
while she gasps as she looks to see where she’s landing
(3) SAMANTHA ­ Aah, wrong coordinates!

PANEL 1 ­ SAMANTHA lands on the MOLION’s back, riding it like a bucking bronco.
The MOLION itself looks over its shoulder, snarling at her and she laughs nervously as she
sits atop it.
(1) SAMANTHA ­ Hehe, don’t suppose you’ll let me hitch a ride over to town to pay
that bounty on you?
PANEL 2 ­ the MOLION digs under the ground, and SAMANTHA holds on for dear life.
(2) SAMANTHA ­ Hey, what are you do­iiiiiing!?
PANEL 3 ­ A large panel in which we see a cross section, like an ant farm, of the
MOLION’s tunnel. SAMANTHA clings to the creature’s back as it digs all over the place,
making a long an intricate trail of loops and zig­zags
(3) SAMANTHA ­ LET ME OFF THIS RIDE, RIGHT NOW
PANEL 3 ­ A close­up of SAMANTHA on the corner of the page in a portion of the
previous panel uncovered by tunnel. Her word balloon goes into panel 3. She has her eyes
squeezed shut and she screams out in her discomfort. The fringes of pink spell stuff can be
seen just on the edge of the panel, indicating that she’s doing something
(4) SAMANTHA ­ OKAY. I WARNED YOU!

PANEL 1 ­ The setting here is different. They are not in a starry landscape, as if
transported to be among the stars themselves. This celestial map is not space, but a special
summoning location she can use when using a powerful spell. A portal appears from which
the characters emerge.
PANEL 2 ­ SAMANTHA is flung off of the MOLION, which stops and looks around to see
just where it is. She, on the other hand, skids to a stop on her butt a few feet away from it.
PANEL 3­ SAMANTHA stands up, rubbing her butt, her glasses askew, one eye closed
(1) SAMANTHA ­ No more miss nice Astrologer. You had your chance, now its
time to go.
PANEL 4 ­ SAMANTHA glows with a pink light, her eyes glow with the same color and
she floats in the air, loose clothing and her tentacles floating as well. The MOLION strikes
to Pounce. LEO is behind her, filling out and no longer looking just like the constellation,
but as a lion made of stars
(2) SAMANTHA ­ (speaks in her esoteric summoning voice, the specifics we can go
over with HEARTZ)

PANEL 1 ­ LEO emerges from behind SAMANTHA, a transparent summon of a celestial
lion, which phases through her to roar out at the MOLION. The MOLION stops in its
tracks as it is being roared at, turning stark white at the sight
PANEL 2 ­ The MOLION collapses, its eyes swirly to show that it is dazed from the attack.
PANEL 3 ­ SAMANTHA floats down, the glow lessening and lets out a sigh of relief. LEO
disappears, and the area around them reverts to its original self.
(1) SAMANTHA ­ WHEW, I did not want to use that much magic tonight. You
know, you really should have listened? Guess I’m taking you in.
PANEL 4 ­ SAMANTHA reaches into her labcoat, her eyes closed, still looking quite
confident.
(2) SAMANTHA ­ My observatory will be getting that much needed upgrade once I turn
in this…
PANEL 5 ­ ​SAMANTHA’s eyes widen as she looks in her coat. WE can see the young
MOLION nestled into her inner jacket pocket, clutching the bounty in its claws, but sound
asleep.
PANEL 6 ­ SAMANTHA smiles as she holds the bounty in her hand, scribbling off the
completed task on her quill.
(3) SAMANTHA ­ Well, I guess that first catch wasn’t such a waste, after all.
